Meet Sarah

Portrait of Sarah

In 2001, Sarah was one of forty individuals nationally invited by the U.S. Olympic Academy to travel to Beijing, China to study with the Chinese Olympic Medical Team and become certified in Tuina Manual Therapy. While in China, Sarah was able to train with their elite physicians, meet Olympians and observe the extensive training that the Chinese Olympians go through.

Sarah then went on to obtain her MBA at Youngstown State University. In 2002, she obtained a position as a manager for a comprehensive outpatient rehab facility in North Canton and within the course of 10 years was promoted to Rehab Director. She helped start and managed five rehab facilities throughout Northeast Ohio which encompassed rehab teams of physical therapists, nurses, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, dietitians and sleep technicians. She developed numerous programs for the company including Cardiopulmonary Rehab, a Peripheral Vascular Disease Program, a Balance and Falls Program and a Dizziness Program. She also mentored over 20 Physical therapists to help expand their skills and knowledge in the field of Physical Therapy.

Sarah opened the doors to VersaKinetic Therapy LLC because she wanted to find a better way to connect with and treat her patients. Choosing quality over quantity, VKT started as a concierge practice prioritizing patient relationships and trust that leads to successful long-term results, one patient at a time. Demand has grown through word-of-mouth referrals and success stories.

Her extensive training in human anatomy, bio-mechanics and exercise physiology, coupled with practical and broad clinical experience treating musculoskeletal dysfunction, back pain, knee pain, overuse injuries, shoulder pain, sprains, strains and fractures allows her to successfully treat patients who range from high school athletes, weekend warriors, professional athletes, to grandparents. In addition to the dysfunctions listed above, her broad expertise allows her to treat many other ailments that may include but is not limited to migraines, cervicogenic headaches, dizziness, scar formations, and many neurological ailments including nerve impingements, balance impairments, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, and Stroke as well.

Her 20+ years of clinical experience and continual hunger to further her skill and knowledge base has allowed Sarah to acquire a broad spectrum of treatment tools to achieve positive gains quickly and efficiently. Her course of treatment may include manual therapy techniques such as Tuina Manual Therapy, the Graston Technique, Integrative Dry Needling, Cupping, the McKenzie Method, the Mulligan's Concept, the Maitland Australian Approach, Kinesio Taping Method, and Cyriax Concept.

Sarah has been an athlete all of her life playing basketball and soccer in high school. She started playing soccer at 6 years old and still continues to play in multiple women’s and co-ed rec leagues. Her goal is to stay healthy long enough as a soccer player to participate in the Las Vegas Soccer tourney in the OVER 70+ division! Throughout her life, her passion for sports has allowed her to participate in competitive rec leagues including volleyball, sand, outdoor and indoor soccer, flag football, and basketball. She also ventured into Grappling, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido and Tai Chi. Now she enjoys stand up paddle boarding, hiking, yoga and Crossfit, and is now pursuing a new found passion for pickleball and tennis. Sarah is always up for any new adventure! She continues to run and participate in various races such as 5ks, 10ks and half marathons and one day hopes to complete a triathlon. Of course, her number ONE passion these days is watching her kids play sports, running with them in races and watching them grow not only as athletes but also as wonderful, strong individuals!
